A commitment to sustainability necessitates a thorough understanding of a product’s future. MAXIMUM Porcelain Panels are designed to last a lifetime. With a hardness rating 30% harder than granite and a low porosity rating, Fiandre materials are more durable than any other hard surfacing product.
These characteristics result in a reduction of future materials usage, along with a high stain resistance that reduces maintenance requirements. Fiandre materials are also chemically inert making them stable fill for use in construction sites and as ground material in road beds, which reduces the need for quarried gravel.

MAXIMUM Self Cleaning Panels
Active™ Clean Air and Antibacterial Ceramic MAXIMUM Porcelain Panels can be specified with Active™ Clean Air and Antibacterial Ceramic to create a self cleaning tile application. This is a patented productive process used to manufacture ECOACTIVE ceramic tiles and surfaces with anti-pollutant and antibacterial properties.
A technically advanced photocatalytic material, Active Clean Air & Antibacterial Ceramic™ makes it possible to use materials that make an active contribution to creating a better atmosphere and a cleaner environment.
The photocatalyst in ACTIVE Clean Air & Antibacterial Ceramic™ is Titanium Dioxide (TiO2) in the form of micrometric particles fixed at high temperatures. The micrometric (not nanometric) dimensions of the TiO2 employed excludes all risks to human health and the environment during the process of manufacture, application and final use.
The photocatalyst activates and accelerates the reaction degrading pollutants in the air, but its particles, though involved in the oxidation process, are not consumed so that the titanium dioxide’s action remains the same over the years. During the photocatalytic reaction, pollutants in the air are broken down by titanium dioxide, oxygen, moisture and light into forms which are not harmful to the health.
Fixing of TiO2 onto ACTIVE Clean Air & Antibacterial Ceramic™ tiles at high temperatures (around 700 C°) also makes the surface of the tiles highly resistant to scratching due to tread, even with intense traffic, guaranteeing a long-lasting photocatalytic effect.
Active™ is embedded and fused into the panel at manufacturing stage, so it will not lose its effectiveness over the lifespan of the product.
Currently, the largest format currently available for Active™ application is 1500×750mm.
Active™ Clean air and Antibacterial Ceramic treatment is incredibly effective for inside and outside use and is suitable for applications in wide variety of fields including residential, commercial and public building projects where hygiene is particularly important including hospitals and schools.
